Jakarta, June 18, 2026 — Danantara Indonesia held the Danantara Government Strategic Forum to strengthen cross-sector synergy with Ministries and Government Agencies. The forum took place at Wisma Danantara Indonesia on Thursday (18/06). It served as a strategic communication platform to deepen shared understanding of Danantara Indonesia's role in the national economic ecosystem while supporting the government's development priorities.
The forum was attended by 249 participants, comprising Echelon I and Echelon II officials from various Ministries and Government Agencies, including coordinating ministries, technical ministries, and government institutions with strategic roles in the national development and investment agenda.
At the forum, Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Pandu Sjahrir, emphasized that Indonesia has a strong foundation to become one of the world's centers of economic growth. He noted that close synergy between the government and the private sector is key to optimizing the country's economic potential through productive, disciplined, and high-impact investment.
"With our demographic strength, abundant natural resources, and growing national industrial capacity, we have a significant opportunity to create sustainable growth. However, realizing this potential requires synergy between the government and the private sector. It also requires disciplined, focused, and long-term-oriented investment that can generate economic value while delivering tangible benefits for the public," said Pandu.
The forum also featured several speakers, including Managing Director Investment of Danantara Investment Management, Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja; Managing Director Chief Economist of BPI Danantara, Reza Yamora Siregar; and Managing Director Finance of Danantara Asset Management, Sahala Situmorang.
Managing Director Investment of Danantara Investment Management (DIM), Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja, emphasized that Danantara Indonesia's investment approach is directed toward supporting strategic projects that can create long-term economic value while strengthening the foundation of national growth. He noted that discipline in capital allocation, focus on priority sectors, and openness to strategic collaboration are essential elements to ensure that investments deliver sustainable impact.
Meanwhile, Managing Director Finance of Danantara Asset Management (DAM), Sahala Situmorang, underlined the importance of SOE transformation as part of efforts to strengthen national economic competitiveness. He said the management of state assets should not only focus on optimizing financial performance, but also on operational transformation, stronger governance, and institutional capacity building so that SOEs can create greater long-term value. Sahala added that with stronger governance and a sharper focus on value creation, SOEs can play a larger role in supporting national economic growth.
Managing Director Chief Economist of BPI Danantara, Reza Yamora Siregar, said Indonesia's main challenge ahead is to expand the country's economic capacity in a sustainable manner so that its transformation into an advanced economy and the Indonesia Emas 2045 target can be achieved. He noted that, with per capita income currently in the range of US$5,000, Indonesia needs consistent, productive, and high-quality growth, with investment serving as one of the key levers to expand economic opportunities, increase productivity, and strengthen the foundation for long-term development.
Through this forum, Danantara Indonesia seeks to build stronger mutual understanding between Danantara Indonesia and Ministries/Government Agencies, enabling more effective cross-sector collaboration in support of national development priorities.
