Danantara Indonesia makes World Economic Forum debut, Affirms Role as Long-term Investment Partner

Jakarta, January 19, 2026 - Danantara Indonesia will attend World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, marking its first participation in the important annual global forum that facilitates global discussion and collaboration to address current economic, political, and environmental dynamics. As a sovereign wealth fund, Danantara Indonesia's presence at the WEF in Davos, Switzerland, reflects Indonesia's long-term strategy to strengthen its role in the global economic architecture.

Danantara Indonesia will be in Davos to accompany the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. This will be the first time an Indonesian president attends the forum in more than a decade. The WEF will also be an opportunity to introduce Danantara Indonesia, which was launched in 2025, to key global players.

CEO of Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani stressed that Danantara Indonesia's participation in the forum is aimed at building strategic partnerships with global stakeholders, mobilizing capital selectively, and encouraging quality investments that have real impact on the national economy.

Rosan said, "Danantara Indonesia's presence at the World Economic Forum is part of our commitment to building global partnerships based on strong governance and high-quality investments. Through this participation, Indonesia's presence at this year's WEF takes a more integrated approach between policy, strategic investment, and the business world."

Rosan explained that Danantara Indonesia's presence at WEF 2026 brings investment and economic perspectives from emerging markets that are at the forefront of global change. According to Rosan, Indonesia faces direct challenges from climate change, demographic dynamics, and the need for sustainable and inclusive economic growth. "It is in this context that Danantara Indonesia positions itself not only as an investor but also as a strategic player and long-term partner in building economic and social resilience."

Furthermore, Rosan stressed that every collaboration established would not only be financially attractive but also relevant and contribute directly to Indonesia's economic transformation. He said that Danantara Indonesia's current investment focus was based on Indonesia's real needs and was in line with the global agenda. These priorities include strengthening critical minerals and supply chain security, accelerating energy transition, improving food security and health, developing digital infrastructure, and creating economic opportunities for the ever-growing young population.

At WEF 2026, Indonesia will hold a series of strategic meetings with state leaders, institutional investors, other sovereign wealth funds, and various global financial and economic institutions. These dialogues will focus on exploring measurable and transparent collaborations that are in line with Indonesia's development priorities while also responding to global needs for sustainable and responsible investment.

Danantara Indonesia's participation in WEF 2026, along with President Prabowo Subianto, reaffirms Indonesia's commitment to openness, global collaboration, and sustainable long-term investment. Danantara Indonesia acts as a platform that connects national interests with global capital flows, ensuring that each partnership is built selectively and provides sustainable added value to the Indonesian economy.

"Danantara's participation also strengthens Indonesia's position as a credible, long-term investment partner that actively contributes to efforts to promote sustainable global economic growth," said Rosan.
