Jakarta, October 26, 2026 — Danantara Indonesia officially opened the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026 at Fairmont Jakarta on Monday (26/10/2026). The three-day forum, running from October 26–28, aims to connect Indonesia’s industrial priorities with technologies, global expertise, and long-term capital to accelerate the country’s industrial transformation.
Held under the theme “Investing in Tomorrow: Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth”, DTIIF 2026 brings together more than 1,500 participants, including global innovators, technology executives, research institutions, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), investors, scientists, and strategic partners from Indonesia and abroad.
The opening day, themed “Imagine – Seeing the Frontier”, centers on emerging technologies, new drivers of economic growth, Indonesia’s industrial priorities, and scaling technological innovation toward industrial deployment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer of Danantara Indonesia, said, “Through DTIIF, our ambition is threefold. First, to foster partnerships that support Indonesia’s long-term economic and industrial transformation. Second, to mobilize global capital and expertise, turning strategic projects into measurable investment opportunities. Third, to ensure that various collaborations and dialogues lead to concrete, sustainable initiatives long after the forum ends.”
On the same day, Danantara Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the Ministry of Industry, and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to strengthen national synergy in connecting research agendas, talent development, industry needs, funding mechanisms, and strategic investment opportunities. The collaboration is expected to accelerate the uptake and downstream application of research and innovation, strengthen industrial technological capabilities, and enhance national competitiveness on the path toward a knowledge- and technology-driven economy.
Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia, said, “The President’s vision is clear: Indonesia must be able to create, master, and produce its own technologies. Our natural resources and great aspirations present opportunities, but our success depends on what we can achieve with them. This is key to higher productivity, stronger industries, and ultimately improving people’s welfare.”
The first day also brought together economic, technological, industrial, and investment perspectives from 2025 Nobel Laureate in Economics Peter Howitt and 2011 Nobel Laureate in Economics Thomas J. Sargent, alongside representatives of international institutions, regulators, innovators, and leading global companies.
Sigit Puji Santosa, Chief Technology Officer of Danantara Indonesia and Chair of DTIIF 2026, emphasized, “At Danantara, we are building partnerships to drive innovations that can be directly applied in industry. This will allow us to move beyond adopting technologies developed by others and become pioneers of innovation ourselves. We are not stopping at MoUs, and will follow through with concrete projects that can be implemented immediately and deliver tangible impact,” Sigit said.
On the second day, themed “Advance – From Frontier Technology to Industrial Scale”, the forum will shift from strategic discussions to industrial collaboration, featuring sectoral panels, project showcases, business meetings, and MoU signings aimed at advancing post-forum partnerships. The forum will conclude on day three, themed “Build – Building the Next Generation”, which will address research, innovation, and talent development to support long-term growth.
DTIIF 2026 focuses on six priority sectors: energy; agriculture, food, and health; advanced materials and semiconductors; transportation and infrastructure; artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and telecommunications; and finance and banking.
DTIIF 2026 is part of the road to the inaugural New Asia Forum (NAF), to be held on December 3–4, 2026 in Bali. NAF will bring together world leaders, sovereign wealth funds, and global business leaders to connect long-term capital with strategic opportunities that support Asia’s economic transformation. Through this series of forums, Danantara Indonesia seeks to turn strategic dialogue into concrete partnerships and investments, while strengthening Indonesia’s role in shaping the region’s next phase of growth.
