Jakarta, 28 April 2025 – The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) officially held a Town Hall event titled “Strengthening Collaboration and the New Direction of SOEs with Danantara Indonesia” at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Monday (28/4). This event marked a significant moment in affirming Danantara Indonesia’s role as a strategic, professional, and impactful SOEs manager and as a key driver of national economic growth.
The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, the Boards of Directors and Chief Commissioners of all SOEs, the Supervisory Board of Danantara Indonesia, and Danantara Indonesia executives. Approximately 1,600 participants were present at the forum.
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of upholding good governance. “On behalf of the nation and the people, I ask all SOE directors to do their best by leaving behind outdated, inefficient practices and improper conduct. These practices must be abandoned. I entrust Danantara Indonesia to evaluate all SOE directors and assess their performance, character, and ethics. If any misconduct, abuse of authority, or misuse of facilities is found, I ask that they be replaced,” he underscored.
Prabowo also reminded that SOEs must operate based on Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, managing them for the prosperity of the Indonesian people. “SOE assets must be managed with the utmost care, maintained, and governed with transparent and rigorous systems, as they are extraordinary national wealth,” Prabowo stated.
The Town Hall also served as the inaugural coordination forum following the transfer of all SOEs into Danantara Indonesia’s portfolio, as stipulated under Government Regulations No. 15 and
16 of 2025. With a leaner structure, modern governance principles, and a spirit of professionalism, Danantara Indonesia has begun building the framework to transform SOEs into globally competitive entities.
In his remarks, Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Indonesia, stated that in carrying out this national mandate, all SOE leaders must uphold three key principles: Character, Competence, and Commitment. “Character refers to professionalism and embodying the values of the 1945 Constitution and Pancasila in every role. Competence is the ability to meet the challenges within each respective field. Commitment is the determination to uphold Good Corporate Governance, integrity, accountability, and transparency,” Rosan explained.
Rosan also emphasized that Danantara Indonesia would not tolerate any breaches of Good Corporate Governance within the SOE environment. “We must apply zero tolerance towards any actions that violate good governance principles,” Rosan stated.
Through this forum, Danantara Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment as a state investment institution that stands with the people, advances national self-reliance, and addresses global challenges through collaboration and innovation. This Town Hall marks the beginning of a long journey toward realizing Indonesia Emas 2045.
“We hope that the inclusion of SOEs under Danantara Indonesia’s management will deliver the greatest possible benefit to the nation,” Rosan concluded.
