Jakarta, 14 October 2026 — Danantara Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to improving PLN’s services for communities and businesses across Indonesia. Danantara Indonesia will take immediate steps to strengthen the company, enhance power supply reliability and service quality, and improve its responsiveness to customer needs.
This commitment also extends to improving PLN Batam’s services following the power supply disruption on 12 October 2026.
Dony Oskaria, Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, said, “On behalf of Danantara Indonesia, we apologize to all PLN Batam customers for the inconvenience caused by the power supply disruption on 12 October 2026. We understand the difficulties experienced by communities and businesses. Customer needs are our top priority, and we are committed to supporting PLN Batam in delivering better services.”
Improving PLN Batam’s service quality is part of Danantara Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the PLN Group’s ongoing transformation. Efforts to develop the company focus on improving supply reliability, making services more convenient, and strengthening its readiness to meet evolving customer needs.
“We see opportunities for PLN Batam to continue growing alongside the communities and businesses it serves. By strengthening the company’s capabilities and improving service quality, we want PLN Batam to play a greater role in meeting customer needs and advancing the region’s development,” Dony said.
PLN Batam operates under an independent business model without receiving government subsidies or compensation. The company has the potential for further growth, supported by Batam’s position as one of the drivers of Indonesia’s economy and as an investment destination.
In line with this transformation and business development strategy, PLN Batam will come directly under Danantara Indonesia. This move is intended to support the company’s further development, improve electricity services, and enhance Batam’s attractiveness as an investment destination.
In addition, Danantara Indonesia will introduce changes to PLN’s management to improve public services. These changes are expected to strengthen the PLN Group’s performance in delivering increasingly reliable electricity services that are responsive to the needs of the public and businesses.
“Serving the public is our priority as we strengthen the PLN Group. Through these management changes, we want to ensure that the public benefits from improvements in service quality, from power supply reliability to responsiveness to customer needs. We also want PLN to be better prepared to support business activities and economic growth across Indonesia,” Dony concluded.
