Jakarta, March 17, 2026 - Danantara Indonesia, through PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), today officially opened new registration for companies interested in becoming prospective partners in the development of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) or Pengolahan Sampah menjadi Energi Listrik (PSEL) projects in Indonesia. This marks the second registration wave following the initial partner selection process conducted in Bekasi, Greater Denpasar, Greater Bogor, and Yogyakarta.
This program is part of the implementation of the national regulatory framework on waste management, including Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025, which governs the conversion of urban waste into energy through environmentally friendly technologies.
Through this process, Danantara Indonesia invites both domestic and international business entities with relevant experience, capacity, and capabilities in developing PSEL projects to participate in the establishment of the Verified Vendor List (DPT). The DPT serves as a prequalification pool for companies that meet the required criteria to participate in future project development. Companies listed in the DPT will become part of a pool of prospective partners to be considered for subsequent PSEL project development stages in Indonesia.
This initiative reflects Danantara Indonesia's commitment to support the national emergency waste management agenda while advancing sustainable green energy development. Through a strategic investment approach and a professional selection process, Danantara Indonesia aims to ensure that Waste-to-Energy projects are implemented using appropriate technologies, sound governance, and deliver long-term benefits to society.
The opening of this DPT registration is also expected to further increase interest from global investors and technology partners to participate in the development of modern waste management infrastructure in Indonesia.
Fadli Rahman, Director of Investment at Danantara Investment Management, stated that the reopening of the DPT aims to enhance technology options, expand funding sources from various countries, and further strengthen domestic investment.
"This new registration phase is part of Danantara Indonesia's efforts to expand the participation of both national and global companies in the development of modern waste management infrastructure in Indonesia, which has previously attracted strong interest from various international companies and investors, in order to collectively address the national waste emergency issue."
The registration process and further information regarding requirements and selection stages can be accessed through the official Danantara Indonesia website.
Moving forward, Danantara Indonesia will continue to promote collaboration among the government, investors, industry players, and other stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of sustainable waste management solutions while supporting national energy resilience.
