Danantara Indonesia Hands Over 600 Temporary Housing Units to the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government

Aceh Tamiang, 8 January 2025 — Danantara Indonesia has officially handed over 600 units of Danantara Temporary Housing (Huntara) to the Government of Aceh Tamiang Regency as part of its support for accelerating post-disaster recovery in the affected areas.


The handover document for the 600 Danantara Temporary Housing units was signed by the Regent of Aceh Tamiang, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Drs. Armia Pahmi, MH, and Rohan Hafas, Managing Director of Stakeholder Management at Danantara Indonesia. The signing was witnessed by Bima Arya Sugiarto, Vice Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, along with representatives of related state-owned enterprises (SOEs), including PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, and PT Pertamina (Persero).

 

 


The development of Danantara Temporary Housing reflects Danantara Indonesia’s commitment to providing safe and adequate basic infrastructure for disaster-affected communities. The housing units were built in accordance with emergency housing standards, featuring secure structures, access to clean water, proper sanitation, as well as electricity supply and healthcare services.

 

 

 


The development also takes into account the social needs of the community to enable residents to resume daily activities, and is equipped with supporting facilities such as a clinic, children’s playground, as well as free internet access and electricity.


This handover marks that the Danantara Temporary Housing constructed in Aceh Tamiang Regency is ready to be utilized by disaster-affected residents, through management, beneficiary determination, and the distribution and placement process carried out by the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government.


Going forward, the construction of Danantara Temporary Housing will continue in phases, with a target of up to 15,000 units within the coming months, to ensure the availability of decent temporary housing for affected families.
