President Prabowo Visits the Danantara Housing Development, Danantara Indonesia Drives Faster Community Recovery

Aceh Tamiang, 01 January 2026 — Danantara Indonesia continues to accelerate post-disaster recovery through the development of Danantara Housing in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province. This effort received direct attention from President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who visited the construction site as a demonstration of the government’s presence in ensuring the availability of safe and decent temporary housing for disaster-affected communities. The President’s visit reinforces the shared commitment to expedite recovery efforts in the affected areas.

Construction of the Danantara Housing in Aceh Tamiang began on 24 December 2025. In the initial phase, 600 housing units are being built in Simpang 4 Village, Karang Baru Subdistrict, with designs prioritizing safety, comfort, and habitability. Each unit measures 4.5 x 4.5 meters and is equipped with basic facilities, including a bed, fan, wardrobe, electricity connection, and internet access. The housing area is also supported by communal facilities, such as shared kitchens, toilets, prayer rooms, and open spaces, to meet residents’ social needs during the recovery period.

Overall, Danantara Indonesia targets the construction of up to 15,000 Danantara Housing units within three months across disaster-affected regions, including Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. Following the site visit, President Prabowo led a coordination meeting with relevant ministries and agencies, local governments, and key stakeholders to ensure implementation proceeds swiftly, in a coordinated manner, and with clear priorities. Through cross-sector synergy and collaboration among seven state-owned enterprises, Danantara Indonesia remains committed to delivering recovery solutions that are effective, sustainable, and centered on the needs of affected communities.
